Ellie joined BSG Ecology in April 2025.
Ellie has experience in delivering Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments, particularly in the residential and energy sectors. She has experience undertaking habitat surveys using the UK Habitat Classification System and using the Statutory Biodiversity Metric to inform these reports.
Ellie also has experience in conducting a wide range of protected species surveys including badger, water vole, bat, great crested newt and birds. She has a particular interest in badgers and has worked on several badger monitoring and mitigation projects.
Ellie has a BSc (Hons) degree in Zoology with Industrial Experience from the University of Manchester and an MSc by Research in Biological Sciences from the University of Exeter. She is certified to undertake Modular River Physical (MoRPh) surveys and river condition assessments. Ellie is also a member of local ARG groups and helps with yearly GCN monitoring.
