09 Feb BSG Ecology becomes Employee-Owned
We are delighted to announce that BSG Ecology is now employee-owned. The move to a 100% employee-owned business will help secure the company’s long-term future as one of the UK’s leading independent ecological consultancies.
Becoming an employee-owned business is an exciting step forward for BSG. A board of Trustees has been established to oversee company performance and work with the company Directors to ensure that the long-term interests and values of the business are maintained for the benefit of current and future employees. The new structure of the business will enable all our employees to help shape the collective future of the business through the Trustee board and through the formation of an Employee Forum. It will also provide our clients and sub-contractors with the reassurance that they can continue to rely on us in the long term.
Founding Director Jim Gillespie said, “The move to employee ownership feels a very natural one. It will give our staff greater long-term security and an exciting opportunity to influence the future direction of the business. We see the establishment of the Trustee Board and the Employee Forum as key to developing the next generation of leaders within the business.”
