The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic Seasonal Assistant Ecologist to join our team in Didcot or Milton Keynes. The post is available from March 2027 until the end of September 2027. The contract will be for up to 35 hours per week and will primarily involve daytime and evening survey work with office based work (such as assisting with data and equipment management, reporting and data analysis) as required. You will need to live an easily commutable distance to the office.
Our office at Milton Park, Didcot is located just off the A34, with excellent public transport links. Milton Park is a dedicated science, technology and business park with a large number of amenities including cafes, gym & swimming pool, nursery, pharmacy, urban gardens and a programme of community events throughout the year. We also have a co-working space in Milton Keynes.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is pro-actively seeking significant survey experience for their CV. You will work alongside experienced in-house ecologists and training will be provided to enable you to develop your ecology skills.
What we are looking for
- Enthusiasm for ecology and the natural environment in the UK
- Some relevant ecological experience
- An organised approach to work, flexibility and a high level of motivation
- A good BSc and / or MSc in a relevant subject
- A full driving licence and access to your own transport
