19 Jun Celebrating Employee Ownership Day
Each year Employee Ownership Day champions the power and potential of employee ownership. This week on EO Day we are taking the opportunity to reflect on how being employee-owned has become a fundamental part of who we are over the last two and a half years. It influences how we make decisions, strengthens our sense of identity, and encourages all employees to take a shared interest in our success.
When we first became employee-owned, one of the strongest messages from our team was the sense of security it brought concerning the long-term future of the business. Since then, that feeling has grown into a stronger sense of shared purpose around our vision, a greater focus on our culture, and continued strong business performance.
Employee ownership is about responsibility, accountability and working collaboratively. We continue to invest significantly in training so that our people develop both their technical expertise and wider consultancy skills. In turn, that helps us deliver better outcomes for our clients.
Our Employee Forum and our Health & Wellbeing Group are now well established and represent colleagues from across the business. These groups help identify opportunities for improvement, celebrate successes, and organise social and conservation activities.
We’re proud to be celebrating EO Day and everything employee ownership means to us and we look forward to celebrating another year of employee ownership together at our company-wide gathering in Durham this autumn.
